Recipe serves 4:
- Soak 100g biji gandum overnight. Drain water and rinse. Put into a pot.
- Boil soaked biji gandum in 600ml water and 400ml coconut milk.
- Add chopped or liquid gula melaka according to taste. 2 to 4 pinches of salt and 2 knotted pandan. If pandan leaves are not available, use 2 teaspoons of pale pure pandan powder to make paste using boiling hot water. Add into bubur gandum.
- Lower fire to let bubur gandum simmer for one hour or more with lid closed. Add extra hot water to dilute if mixture is too thick.
- Optional: Serve with sago pearls (cooked separately)
