Ingredients:
Water, soy sauce, caramel, sugar, oyster extract, thickener (1422), flavour enhancer (835), food acid (270), spices, flavouring (soy), yeast extract, preservative (211) and salt.
Allergen: Soy and molluscs. May contain traces of fish, sesame and crustacean due to manufacturing methods.
Serving suggestion:
Prepare
200g thick noodles, 50g leafy vegetables, 50g diced chicken breast, 8 pieces of sliced fish cakes, 6 shelled prawns, 6 tbsp water, 2 cloves of chopped garlic, 2 tbsp of cooking oil and half tsp of cornstarch mixed with half tbsp of cold water.
Heat oil, sauté garlic. Add chicken breast cubes and stir fry until medium done,
Toss in fish cakes, add Hokkien Mee sauce and water. Bring to slight boil. Add in prawns, Vegas and noodles. Simmer on low heat for 2 minutes until noodles are cooked,
Add in corn starch mixture. Simmer for 30 seconds and serve.
Squid and fish slices could replace fish cakes. The sauce is also good with vermicelli and flat rice noodles.
